Virgo wants someone whose quality holds up to close examination — which Virgo will absolutely conduct, quietly, over time. Water watches carefully and for a long time before deciding.
Once committed, you love through the long accumulation of reliable presence: the remembered details, the handled logistics, the capacity to hold someone's difficulty without either solving it prematurely or flinching from it. You ask for very little. This is both generous and dangerous — the things you don't ask for accumulate, and the Goat doesn't surface them, and Water manages the distance, and eventually the gap between what's needed and what's been asked is very large.
What breaks this: a partner who doesn't notice what's being given — not from ingratitude but because you made the giving invisible. The Goat will hold this without speaking. The Water will manage the growing distance without naming it. Virgo will have mapped exactly how this happened before the partner has noticed anything has changed.
The scene: a conversation you've had versions of before — them expressing something, you listening completely, offering what they need, setting aside what you needed to say. They leave the conversation lighter. You sit with what you didn't say. You'll find somewhere else to put it, or you won't, and either way the evening continues and tomorrow you show up the same way again.
