What breaks them: consistent effort given without being seen accurately. The Horse's memory for output delivered without real recognition runs underneath the Aquarius composure like a balance sheet. When the balance tips past a certain point, the exit is clean and total. The Horse doesn't do slow departures.
The scene: they've handled something significant. Someone else gets the credit for it, in passing, in front of others. They don't say anything. They make a note somewhere in the Horse's specific record of things like this. They continue. The record will matter later in ways neither party can see yet.
